Origin: A Treasure from the Mountains of Yemen
This coffee is based on beans sourced from Yemen — the cradle of the world’s coffee culture. Although the brand keeps the exact locations of its partner farms confidential, the Yemeni beans used in Abdel Maaboud blends traditionally come from high-altitude terraced plantations in regions such as Haraz or Bani Matar.
Cultivation: The coffee shrubs grow at elevations exceeding 1,500–2,100 metres above sea level, in extreme, dry conditions that concentrate a truly distinctive aroma within the beans.
Tradition: The beans are hand-picked and naturally sun-dried using the natural/dry method, giving them their characteristic wine-like, fruity profile.
Why Green Coffee?
Green coffee is made from beans that have not undergone the roasting process. As a result, they retain their natural richness.
Flavour Profile and Aroma
Unlike roasted coffee, the infusion made from Al-Yemeni Abdel Maaboud green beans is light, straw-coloured and marked by a herbal, grassy aroma. In its Arabic version, it is often enriched with noble cardamom, which adds spicy depth and a warming character.
